Las Vegas Hilton to host World Championship of Fantasy Football in 2008
St. Louis, March 10, 2008 – GridIron Fantasy Sports LLC selected the Las Vegas Hilton as the host venue for the 2008 World Championship of Fantasy Football (WCOFF).
Over 2,000 of the world’s elite fantasy football players will convene in Las Vegas, September 4-7 to take part in a live draft event as part of the World Championship of Fantasy Football. In addition, simultaneous live drafts will be hosted at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

The World Championship of Fantasy Football was hosted at the Las Vegas Hilton in 2005.

The Las Vegas Monorail is conveniently located directly out the front door of the Las Vegas Hilton, making it easy for guests to be at the heart of the strip in minutes.
The 2007 World Championship of Fantasy Football was won by Kenny Lavallee from Tampa, FL competing in his inaugural WCOFF Main Event. Lavallee received the grand award of $300,000, a trip to the Super Bowl festivities and a Crystal Trophy for his accomplishment.
This year’s competition will mark the 7th season for the World Championship of Fantasy Football. Beginning in 2002, the WCOFF represents the industry’s most tenured high stakes fantasy event. In 2007 the Fantasy Sports Trade Association recognized the WCOFF for hosting the “Best Live Event” in all of Fantasy Sports.
